Your working environment

We develop social future! As an operating IT service provider of the Federal Employment Agency (BA), the IT system house at the main location Nuremberg/Fürth and at various locations throughout Germany with over 100 IT applications, 180.000 connected PC workstations and the associated infrastructure runs one of the largest IT landscapes in Germany and continuously develops them. You will be hired as an IT specialist in the IT system house.

As an architecture office, we support our product and platform areas with agile architecture management and give a strategic orientation in close cooperation with the stakeholders.

The architecture office combines expertise from many years of experience, consistent training, regular, institutionalized exchange with a high commitment of its employees. As a specialist architect with the technical focus on automation, you can support our team “Automation Center of Excellence” (ACoE) with your ideas and knowledge.

The “Automation Center of Excellence” (ACoE) is, as part of the architecture office, a technical anchor of BA’s automation ambitions. In the ACoE we focus on automating professional business processes using special tools or platforms. The ability and advice of the organization on automation topics and technologies is another priority. An integral part of the work of the ACoE is the construction and further development of the "Human Friendly Automation" (HFA) approach.

They develop concepts in the team, including technological teaching and methodological guidelines, for the introduction of an operating model for the establishment of automation technologies.

They are driving knowledge transfer and coaching/learning in terms of automation in the BA and creating the foundations to render and share built-up knowledge transparent.

In addition, you promote the exchange in the automation community and understand existing collaboration formats between IT and specialist pages. This includes, in particular, the promotion of strategic change management in connection with a value-based model, "Human Friendly Automation" (HFA), the introduction of automation projects.

You are not unfamiliar to work and you are able to represent your ideas, solutions and perspectives within the BA.

They are willing to carry out the various consultancy, skills and communication formats of the ACoE personally in the BA departments throughout Germany. We therefore require a strong readiness to travel.

The location is marked with the focus on automation. This focus includes the use of software and technologies to automate and simplify manual processes. For example, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Workflow Tools and Machine Learning Methods are used to optimize processes and increase efficiency.

Our team has an open and cooperative atmosphere in which we work closely together. We appreciate the diversity of ideas and perspectives that our employees bring and promote an open dialogue to learn from each other and to continuously develop.

We also very much focus on the personal dialogue on site (Nürnberg) in the team. In connection with the implementation of nationwide on-site terminals in the context of consulting, skills and communication formats, a high proportion of the usual working hours will take place in presence.

Tasks and Activities

• Development of IT strategies focusing on technological dependencies and architectures
• Continuous market exploration and review of technological trends and developments and adaptation of IT internal guidelines
• Creation of IT Security and Compliance Policy and Ensuring Compliance
• Analysis and assessment of technical requirements
• Responsibility for planning, organisation and implementation of projects over all phases of the project
• Definition of project objectives, milestones and resources

This means in particular for activities in the ACoE team

• Strategic evaluation and selection of automation technologies for BA by market monitoring
• Development of skills modules for ACoE and the "Automation Experience Center" skills after the Gamification approach
• Development of possibilities of scaling skills in the organization
• Promoting the exchange in the automation community and testing existing collaboration formats
• Developing an approach model, standards and tools for the operation of automation technologies
• Consulting projects and projects on automation technologies
• Knowledge transfer and coaching of various stakeholders, in particular by expanding the "hub and spoke" approach

• Higher education or comparable qualifications (priorities: computer science, business informatics)
