Technician/Engineer as a Design Engineer in Machine and Plant Development (m/f/d)

From the first idea to the production-oriented solution, you develop machine, plant and hydraulic components as well as components and assemblies for forming and punching technology and experience directly how functional products are created from your concepts. In design and detail design, you combine technical requirements with economic aspects and create resilient solutions for demanding customer projects. New questions invite you to investigate different ways of solving the problem, evaluate constructive variants and introduce your own ideas into the further development of machines, tools and components. With the definition of tests, test instructions and functional descriptions, you will ensure your developments in practice and gain valuable insights for further optimizations. Through precise CAD models, production-oriented drawings, piece lists and a comprehensible documentation, make sure that manufacturing, purchasing and service can work with reliable technical data at any time. In close cooperation with prototype production, suppliers and adjacent specialist areas, you will accompany your designs to real implementation and contribute visibly to quality, operational safety and process-proof production.

A completed further development to the technician of the field of mechanical engineering or mechatronics or a completed engineering study in mechanical engineering, plant engineering, production technology, manufacturing technology or industrial engineering forms the appropriate technical basis. First practical experience in the development or construction of machinery and equipment facilitates entry; also dedicated professionals with well-founded design skills are welcome. In dealing with a 2D or 3D CAD system such as Creo or AutoCAD, you work safely while knowledge in a PDM system such as PRO.FILE perfectly complement your profile. Your understanding of the selection and design of machine elements helps you develop long-lasting, functional and economical constructions. Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics as well as first contact points with machine safety, CE requirements or FEM calculations are desirable and open up additional development possibilities.
