The Information and Technology Services department manages and organizes all IT services of the 14 DKMS organizations worldwide. As a Director Software & Application Development of our data-driven company, you are responsible for the new and further development of highly specialized, proprietary software solutions to support our processes, the associated interfaces via our middleware, the further development of the application landscape and the maintenance and operation. You report directly to the CIO and work in the team with our two directors IT Operations and Cell Therapy & Lab Solutions on the further development of the IT application landscape, according to the entrepreneurial goals of the DKMS. We are looking for a Director Software & Application Development (m/w/d) to support the team at Tübingen or Cologne.

You take on the technical and strategic overall responsibility for application development and maintenance in the areas of Web Applications, Donor Application Development and Application Development You advance the development and standardization of our software architecture and ensure that it is implemented uniformly across all areas of application You are responsible for the technical integration of new systems and the most existing systems through our middleware platform You control projects in line with our corporate goals and successfully implement them Ensure the availability, scalability, security and performance of our applications across the entire lifecycle You build a powerful leadership team, guide and coach it and promote a team-oriented, agile development culture (Scrum) You define and monitor compliance with our governance policies and conduct regular architecture reviews You control external partners:inside a hybrid delivery model You are responsible for budget management, resource planning and reporting to CIO

A completed study in the field of economic engineering, business informatics, computer science, business management with IT focus or similar At least five years of relevant experience in a leading position in the IT environment Deep know-how about IT value creation, common technologies, frameworks and regulatory requirements in the medical environment Excellent project management competence as well as a structured and conceptual thinking capability Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing A team-capable personality with enforcing power, self-initiative and decision-making Creativity, strategic thinking and the ability to actively shape changes
