Around 1.9 million people from over 1,000 private and public service occupations have joined together in ver.di. As one of the largest free trade unions in the world, we are fighting for their interests – in collective bargaining, in companies, in the services and political leaders.

Whether in the hospital, in the retail, in the post office, in the theatre or in the public administration: main and volunteers of ver.di are side by side for fair wages, secure jobs and better working conditions.

At the closest possible time, we occupy a temporary part-time post (max. 80%) for a limited period until 31.12.2026 as a trade union secretary, with a support area in the field of C / healthcare in the district of Lübeck / Süd-Ostholstein.

In the context of the disease representation, you are responsible for for the University Hospital, Hospitals, Old Care Facilities

As a team member, you are responsible for:

As a trade union secretary at ver.di, you are not only a contact person for members and activists, but also a stimulator, straeg, and mediator in operational, social and political processes.

Your tasks are versatile:

• You win new members, enter existing and accompany them in their trade union development.
• You support trade union active and works and personnel councils in their work on site.
• You are *Sparringspartnerin in collective bargaining** and encourage members to represent their interests.
• You plan and organize Events, conferences and campaigns, which carry our messages to the outside and make Solidarity experienceable. In representation tasks you are the face of ver.di in the public. You promote the ability of our members to act by creating spaces for discussion and targeted educational work so that they can represent their interests confidently and independently.
• You take responsibility in projects – from concept to implementation
• You make sure that the allocated budgets are used appropriately, and you know the relevant standards for your task area.
• You recognize in time when conflicts, injustices, or stressful situations get you emotionally out of balance and can actively seek advice in the team with emotional overload.

You give our members a strong voice – in the company, in the public and in politics.

You bring that with:

• Intensified professional and organizational knowledge in the areas of responsibility acquired by completed vocational training of at least 3 years and additional qualifications or completed academic training or comparable professional experience
• They also expect:
• ver.di-specific, trade union, target group-related, legal, linguistic administrative, political, economic and communication skills
• In addition, professional experience is expected in practice
• Class B driving licence
