As an area manager, you take on the professional, organizational and personal responsibility for the outpatient social educational assistance. You control and develop the work area in close cooperation with relevant internal interfaces and ensure professionally sound, economic and quality-oriented implementation of the work processes and services. Your tasks include: Technical and organisational management of the work area taking into account technical standards, legal requirements and agreed quality objectives Service and specialist supervision as well as guidance, support and development of a team of about 30 employees Personnel needs planning, personnel development, motivation and support of the professionals including conflict and crisis management Cooperation with youth offices and cooperation in specialised bodies and regional quality dialogues Participation in technical, conceptual and organisational further development and quality processes as well as in the implementation of protection and specialist concepts in coordination with internal interfaces Responsibility for costs and technical and financial management in cooperation with the relevant internal areas Ensuring documentation, reporting and evaluation across public bodies

Complete study of social work, social education or a comparable qualification Multiannual professional experience in child and youth assistance, ideally with management experience Knowledge of youth assistance law (SGB VIII), social law and basic knowledge of labour law Experience in cooperation with youth offices, authorities and specialised bodies Leadership, decision-making and clear and value-aware communication Open, empathic attitude towards all families, regardless of origin, form of life or social backgrounds Entrepreneurial thinking and acting as well as a good understanding of sector-relevant key figures Willingness to participate in quality development processes and interest in continuous personal and professional development Safe handling of current MS Office applications Structured but flexible operation
