Internship in work preparation/process planning for prototype units in Global (e)Powertrain Development starting September/October 2025

YOU MAKE US – YOU MACHINED Whether conventional with diesel, battery-electric or hydrogen-based: Our goal in the Global Powertrain development of Daimler Truck is to develop the best drivetrain for our customers – and thus the heart of our vehicles. We, the “Working Preparation / Process Planning Prototypes” team, are the link between the specialist areas and prototype workshops and are therefore working directly on our products (motors, (e) axes, transmissions, fuel cells). We are responsible for the documentation of the aggregates, the provision of materials and support colleagues in this regard during the constructions, reconstructions or repairs of prototypes. Our team contributes to increasing efficiency and productivity in workshops. For example, we are driving forward the topic of “digital assembly”. This minimizes errors and direct communication makes us more effective and faster. We are also responsible for the documentation at the test stands and vehicles If you want to work in a dynamic, technical environment and motivated team, you are right with us! WHAT WHAT? The aim of your internship is to develop efficient and sustainable process solutions and/or to drive digitization in our team to make us more successful! You develop optimization potentials to increase efficiency of our activities You develop and accompany the implementation of concepts for digitizing processes in work preparation and documentation The focus of your work depends on your interests and abilities You are a valuable part of our team and supports us in project-related topics or in day-to-day business

THERE WHAT YOU WANT TO UN Technical bachelor's or master's studies such as mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable study direction You are technically interested and have basic knowledge of the function and structure of commercial vehicle drives Fun at lean management, project management and the further development of processes, methods, IT tools Dealing with MS Office and Affinity for IT and Digitization You are a high-level team player with an independent working style Very good German and good English skills You're not bringing everything? No problem! Your skills are important to us, but more important is your motivation.
