Ensuring the operation of Db2/IMS systems under the operating system z/OS

Configuration, implementation, maintenance, documentation as well as test and use of changes to the technical components in the respective test and productive systems

Monitoring and analysis of system performance, optimization of database queries and structuring of complex relational databases

Creation of sustainable backup and recovery concepts

Development and updating of implementation and operating standards and ensuring implementation and compliance in operation

Consulting and active support of developers in implementing Db2/IMS in batch, remote and online processes

Analysis and elimination of system errors in complex system structures (2nd level support)

Completed subject-related university studies or comparable

At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in a comparable environment

Very good knowledge of the mainframe architecture and system programming (Db2/IMS)

Knowledge of SQL, JCL, SMPE and REXX programming

Ideally experience in interaction with mainframe languages such as COBOL, PL/I or Java

Expressed analytical competence, readiness to learn and awareness of responsibility

Very good communication capability and high team capability

Willingness to carry out business trips 1x per quarter and regular call readiness

German language skills in word and writing
