Senior IT System Administrator Linux (m/w/d)

As part of a 5-member team, you are also responsible for managing, configuring and expanding the IT system landscape (Linux, VMware, Network and Security) in our corporate headquarters.

Your daily business Installation, operation, configuration and maintenance of the Linux systems as well as integration into a virtual system landscape (VMware), including various cluster, stroge and backup solutions (Veeam and TSM) Configuration and administration of high availability systems and associated documentation Planning and execution of server-side upgrades and release change Creation and implementation of backup concepts Operation, configuration and maintenance of the network and firewall environment for the central and external data center Advising our project managers and departments in defining, requesting and introducing IT applications Providing test and development environments Development of automated monitoring, data enrichment, reporting and much more Processing of tickets in 1st and 2nd level support and training of users

Successfully completed studies in the field of IT or comparable training Multiannual professional experience in IT system administration Knowledge of Linux, especially installation, maintenance and operation Experience with VMware as a virtualization solution, web servers such as Apache and Tomcat, as well as with MySQL, MSSQL and other databases Scripting skills and the handling of cloud services are advantageous Independent, careful and reliable operation Pragmatic approach to solving problems High communication capability and team-oriented working Enforcement and negotiation skills Embossed customer and service orientation
