Team Leader Incineration Nuclear Waste Management (m/f/d)

In the combustion plant (TEVV), low-radioactive, combustible residues are processed. The centrepiece of the plant is the approximately 5 m high furnace with a throughput of about 100 tons per year. The plant is operated from Monday to Friday in 3-shift operation with one week maintenance and maintenance phases. In addition, a drum washing system is operated in the region TEVV.

Become part of our TEVV team and take responsibility as a team leader (m/w/d) for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of our incineration plant. In this position, after completion of the installation, you bear the nuclear responsibility for the subsite and take over the function of the radiation protection officer (m/w/d).

You take over the technical and disciplinary leadership of the TEVV team and lead it with sovereignty in your role as a manager of 18 employees in the daily operating business. With your know-how, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the combustion plant for radioactive waste, in compliance with all legal and operational requirements. You are responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of maintenance, renewal and modernization measures and thus ensure sustainable plant operation. You conduct the maintenance of the incineration plant and the drum washing plant. This includes the professional leadership, for example, in the preparation of work or in the processing of work permit procedures, as well as the continuous optimization of the maintenance processes. The compliance and further development of high standards in the field of occupational safety within your area of responsibility is obvious to you. You support cross-sectional departments in the execution of projects in your area of responsibility or, if necessary, take over project management tasks for internal operations.

You have a degree in engineering or natural science. As an alternative, you have a completed technical training with a specialist training to the master/technician (m/w/d) – supplemented by several years of professional experience. You bring relevant experience in the maintenance and operation of complex process engineering plants, ideally in combustion plants or in comparable plants with thermal/chemical processes, e.g. chemical plants, power plants or industrial combustion plants with solid, liquid or gaseous fuels. You have already demonstrated your leadership skills in practice. Ideally, you have knowledge of nuclear installations and have experience in dealing with radioactive substances or are open to working in this area with the support of KTE. You appear confidently, communicate clearly and purposefully and convince with your sense of responsibility and security. You meet the occupational health requirements for the use of heavy breathing devices.
