Number: MER0003MFE In Group Research & Development Mercedes-Benz Cars (RD), we design the automotive generations of the future. With agile software development processes based on MB.OS (Mercedes-Benz Operating System), we are already developing the innovations that will secure our technology leadership in the future. As a Team Cloud Platform Experience, we develop an in-car app platform in our in-house software development team that can be installed in the infotainment system of our vehicles – similar to in a smartphone. Users of this In-Car App platform are internal and external software developers who want to develop their apps and provide end customers. With our platform we want to offer the opportunity to get from an idea to a first functional prototype within a short time, as well as to reach availability for our end customers within a few weeks. We develop an improved developer experience in which developers can manage their apps as well as their appstore appearance online. The quality and functionality of our new UIs are to be ensured by continuous end-to-end tests. We are looking for someone who can drive the placement of this new test environment and, in close cooperation with our frontend engineers, can independently implement new requirements. These challenges include: Replace a new end-to-end test environment: collaboration with our UI developers to create a robust test environment Implement end-to-end tests: Creation and maintenance of end-to-end tests Development of Continuous Testing Pipelines: Integration of E2E Testing into our Software Delivery Pipeline to perform the tests continuously and quickly report failures to the developers

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Related Areas or currently immatriculated in a study of these disciplines First experiences with JavaScript/Typescript and basic concepts of web-front-end development Confidence with a framework or library such as React, Angular or VueJs to facilitate cooperation with UI developers First experiences with test automation tools like Cypress or Playwright Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Commitment and team skills Analytical thinking and strategic working Additional information: Of course, without formalities, we are not.
