Its core task shall include testing/assessing the hardware and software at vehicle level in the context of type testing and national approval processes, as well as testing/assessing the complex electronics of vehicle systems (e.g. according to UN-R 79.03 Annex 6, UN-R 13 H Annex 8), with a focus on functional safety. In addition, you are responsible for evaluating functional and fault effect analyses (e.g. FMEA), risk analyses (e.g. HARA according to ISO 26262) and other analysis methods (e.g. fault tree analyses). Analyzing and evaluating the security concepts, checking the system descriptions as well as planning and performing evaluations and audits of security processes and security management systems also fall into your area of responsibility. Furthermore, you are responsible for testing/assessing the functional safety of hardware and software-based components/systems, as well as for analyzing and evaluating software development processes, tools and architectures. The testing and assessment of software update processes (according to UN-R 156) and cybersecurity inspections (according to UN-R 155) as well as perspective in the field of electrical safety (UN-R100) and EMC aspects in the automotive sector (UN-R10) round off your task area.
