About our area The Unit IV C Campus Security in the Real Estate Management department carries a central, responsible task for the safe operation of the campus. It is responsible for the preventive and defensive fire protection, the perception of authorised tasks in radiation protection, the processing of genetic and laser safety tasks, the operation of the control room and the central information point. The responsibility also includes the security and closing service, the business continuity management, including key role perceptions in threat management, as well as diverse tasks of security and work security. The control room is the permanent central body for the acceptance and coordination of technical disturbances and emergencies for all 5 locations with currently totalling approx. 185 buildings of TU Darmstadt. It is therefore the central node for emergency calls, alarms and reports of the hazard detection technology, fire protection and building/operating technology and is therefore an essential part of the security management of the TU Darmstadt. Likewise, medical and person-related events and alerts must be responded quickly, correctly and safely.

Own-sponsored operation and monitoring of building facilities for the entire university: Contrary to all interference and danger messages (e.g. water damage, power failures, fires, buoyancy due to chemical reactions, break-in, diebstehle etc.) by the above-mentioned building equipment, by telephone or e-mail from internals / externals and short-term and safe analysis or Classification of the incoming message with regard to the respective danger or safety risk for buildings/persons. Following forwarding to the relevant departments of the TU Darmstadt as well as in the event of immediate safety: fire brigade, police, leading security specialist, department and unit lines of the decernate IV etc. according to the different process-defined reporting chains for the initiation of measures remediation. Acceptance of emergency calls from elevators and disabled toilets, as well as general emergency calls, security messages by telephone, and taking measures to remedy the fastest possible (in case of risk in delay). Primary contact point within the TUDa for all types of notifications and notices (e.g. information of the operating groups of the technical establishment on pending and ongoing maintenance work in the buildings; were thefts, vandalism, property damage, etc.) and forwarding the information on the basis of process-defined reporting chains to the respective departments and units. Daily documentation of all safety-relevant actions in the watch log and forward to the department and unit management of the IV property management department. Key storage / key output / key documentation for all TU Darmstadt buildings to foreign companies (e.g. maintenance cleaning, maintenance companies etc.). Locking force in emergency for all buildings / locations of the TU Darmstadt (access to the so-called emergency key box). Contact person for the security staff of the external service provider in daily strip service and in interventions. Responsible coordination or support of operations of rescue services, police or fire department.

The activity is carried out in full-scale shift operation, which means that the working hours are organized in a rotating shift system. This includes early, late and night shifts as well as weekend and holiday work. Flexibility and readiness to work in changing layers are therefore necessary.

You have a successfully completed training as a specialist for protection and safety further training for the NSL specialist (qualification especially for emergency call and service places) - desirable
