About our area The Unit IV C Campus Security in the Real Estate Management department carries a central, responsible task for the safe operation of the campus. It is responsible for the preventive and defensive fire protection, the perception of authorised tasks in radiation protection, the processing of genetic and laser safety tasks, the operation of the control room and the central information point. The responsibility also includes the security and closing service, the business continuity management, including key role perceptions in threat management, as well as diverse tasks of security and work security. These tasks are deliberately controlled in clearly defined teams and carried out independently. The importance is to identify risks at an early stage, to act preventively and to react quickly, coordinated and legally in a serious case. Through living security culture, transparency and reliable processes, the unit contributes to enabling students, employees and visitors to create a safe environment.

As the Head of the Unit, you will perform the following tasks: Strategic management and operational management of the unit with responsibility for expertise, resources and results for the main topics in the unit. Policy issues for the main topics, such as the implementation of risk analyses, the definition of safety objectives, the development of safety and occupational safety strategies, the derivation of preventive measures, the implementation of an occupational safety management system according to OHSAS, consulting concepts, higher-level projects – programs and measures Direct reporting to the university management for acute safety-related incidents and risks Consultation and support of the university management as well as responsible executives in matters of legal compliance, in particular in the areas of fire protection and occupational safety Preparation and implementation of Bureau decisions in the tasks of the Unit Presentation of proposals for decision-making or decisions from the area of responsibility of the unit in university bodies Priority creations and creation of work objectives for the performance of tasks of the unit Monitoring and coordination of the implementation of legal requirements in the field of work Creation of guidelines, work and service instructions Analysis of the work processes of the topics for the university and department management set up in the unit with a view to achieving results, internal organisation, economical handling of resources, taking into account the legal aspects and their technical assessment and evaluation Management, personnel development and technical guidance and control of the staff of the unit in all matters of task and performance Responsibility for coordinating tasks Interface management inside and outside – advice, support and support Financial planning and financial management of the material and project budget in the unit

You have completed scientific university studies in engineering (engineering, mechanical engineering), natural sciences, safety and risk prevention or operational safety management or a comparable qualification

Continue with: extensive theoretical and practical knowledge and experience, at least in one of the topics set out in the Unit, as well as the relevant legal regulations for assessing current and amended legal situations the strong ability to engage in new topics and willingness to continue good knowledge of English in word and writing (at least B2) very good PC / MS Office knowledge Ready to call and emergency outside regular working hours
