To whom does this profession fit? You have a good spatial imagination, you might have programmed something privately on your PC or have a hobby where you can edit metal.

What do you do after training? With an apprenticeship for the machining mechanic, you are then mainly active in the tool construction and manufacture tools for our machines (e.g. deep-drawing machines, punching machines). These tools are, for example, stamps and dies, with which the metal introduced into the deep-drawing press is shaped in such a way that the respective product is produced at the end. Such tools with complex geometries can be manufactured as a machining mechanic on our modern CNC machines. These include turning, milling, eroding, laser and grinding machines. To do this, interpret the associated technical drawings, program the machines, clamp metal blanks, monitor the manufacturing processes and then check the finished tools for dimensional accuracy. Course contents: In order to prepare you for this exciting and varied task, you will learn all the necessary basic skills in the training as a machining mechanic, such as drilling, milling and turning in our training workshop. In tool construction, you are additionally incorporated into the CNC machines to train their operation and programming. Practices e.g. in production or in quality management complete the training.
