Former investment decisions in renewable energy As a Legal Counsel – Investment, you play a central role in the legal support of our European investment activities. You support transactions from initial analysis to completion, evaluate legal risks and develop pragmatic solutions in close coordination with internal and external stakeholders. You work at the interface of law, strategy and economy and contribute significantly to the sustainable growth of our renewable energy portfolio.

Transaction management & contract negotiations: You personally accompany the investment team in the purchase and sale of renewable energy projects in Europe, conduct contract negotiations and coordinate external legal due diligence processes. Legal assessment & decision support: You analyze legal risks and commercial impacts and contribute to sound decisions within transaction processes. Legal advice in project development: You advise internal areas on licensing and energy issues, especially in early project phases. Internal consulting & knowledge transfer: You support specialist and executives in legal issues and convey current developments in renewable energy law. Interdisciplinary cooperation: You work closely with various departments and participate in cross-disciplinary projects. Interface to external firms: You coordinate national and international external consultants and act as a central interface between internal stakeholders and external firms.

Legal qualification: You have a successfully completed study of law, ideally with above-average State Examina. Professional experience: You have several years of relevant professional experience (approximately 4–5 years) in the field of renewable energies and/or M&A transactions, as well as in company law, ideally in a business-advising firm or company. Expertise: You bring well-founded knowledge in company law, general contract law and ideally in energy law. Structured mode of operation: You work independently, structured and solution-oriented and keep an overview in complex situations. Communication & negotiating strength: You appear confidently, communicate clearly and convincingly and have a strong negotiating capability. Responsibility & Engagement: You show high performance, a strong sense of responsibility and interest in legal and economic relations. Teamability & Reliability: You are a team player and convince by integrity, care and reliability. Languages: You have very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing and can work safely in an international environment.
