Senior Physician Geriatrics (m/f/d)

The clinic for Geriatrie (CEO Prof. Dr. med. Friedrich) at the Klinikum Lippe (Location Lemgo) is looking for a senior physician (m/w/d) in fulltime at the earliest possible time. In addition, there are currently 26 day treatment places available – 10 in Lemgo and 16 in Bad Salzuflen. From March 2026, treatment sites are offered exclusively at the Lemgo site. In total, around 1,400 patients are supplied per year at the clinic. The doctor's key is: 1 CA – 4 OÄ – 7 AÄ (VK). Together with the Department of Neurology, Geriatrie forms the centre of aging medicine as an independent unit. The supply is based on the latest scientific knowledge of old age medicine. In addition to classical diagnostics, a special geriatric assessment is carried out. This covers both physical and mental limitations as well as existing functional resources as well as the social situation of the patients. The results form the basis for an individually coordinated multi-professional treatment concept. Treatment focuses on the treatment of stroke patients (in cooperation with the clinic for neurology), multimorbidity, movement and cognitive disorders as well as delayed reconvalescence at the age. Together with the Accident Surgical Clinic Detmold, an age traumatological centre is established. Internal diagnostics including ÖGD incl. PEG, coloscopy, sonography, duplex sonography, echocardiography and TEE are provided within the clinic. The full training authorization for Geriatrie and the basic training authorization for internal medicine are available. Further training authorizations are requested (e.g. for physical therapy).
