As part of 50Hertz, as a Datacenter Field Service specialist, I will ensure that our digital infrastructure works reliably at any time – and in the heart of the company: our data centers. In this context, I am part of the Datacom family and I am responsible for shaping my task, closely linked with internal IT teams and external partners. My tasks: Detect and troubleshoot: For technical problems, I analyze the causes, correct errors and document all steps within the Incident process, Running hardware: installation, maintenance and upgrades of passive infrastructure, servers, storage and network components are part of my daily business – reliable, structured and with technical sensitivity, Creating connections: I set up wiring and connecting points, maintain them and thus provide a stable infrastructure, Keep components intact: I exchange defective hardware or repair them directly on site – efficiently and with minimal downtime, Strong in the team: In close coordination with network and system administration teams as well as external service providers, I provide for smooth processes in the data center, Quality assurance: I accompany new hardware solutions, carry out acceptance tests and control the quality of passive infrastructure, Keep an overview: From stocktaking to spare parts management to monitoring temperature and humidity – I respect every detail that makes the operation safe, In case of emergencies and operating failures, I am available as part of the readiness of Datacom.

Complete vocational training in the field of electrical engineering, communications technology, technical informatics for system integration or comparable, ideally with a further training to the technician or the willingness to continue such qualification; expertise in the field of passive cabling, in particular in terms of glass fiber and measurement techniques, Ability to quickly solve problems and troubleshoot, confidentiality with standards and best practices in the environment of highly available data centers, Ability to work independently and handle an open error and feedback culture, Languages: English (B2).
