The Digital Production Lab is a young, dynamic team that uses digital technologies and advanced analytics to drive innovations in production and logistics. It establishes processes and systems for data analysis and processing and actively develops data architecture, data engineering and data science. This team works as an enabler for Data & Analytics (D&A), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data availability. As a Solution Architect, you are driving forward the introduction and scaling of an innovative Factory Edge platform in a global automotive company. You design the technical architecture, orchestrate the integration into existing production systems and provide a secure, scalable and performant solution along the entire production chain.

Building a Scalable Factory Edge Platform for International Manufacturing Sites for Digital Transformation in Production and Logistics Ideas generation, evaluation and prioritization of use cases for optimizing production processes and support in their implementation Definition of processes, product life cycles and central services (e.g. connectors, historians, edge devices) on the platform Creation of technical standards, guidelines and operating concepts, including modern architecture principles (API-first, microservices) and interfaces to MES, ERP and cloud systems Conception and implementation of a Unified Namespace for structured data provision using event-driven and data-driven architectures OT/IT architecture blueprints, service provider control, and support in rollout, testing and operation of the platform

Your qualifications

You have completed a study of computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification You have several years of experience in the architecture of IT/OT systems in the industrial environment Edge computing, container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes as well as IIoT protocols like MQTT and OPC UA are familiar to you You work safely with event- and data-driven architecture principles; Knowledge of Unified Name Space (UNS) is advantageous A structured way of working, pronounced communication strength and a high self-initiative You have very good German and English skills in word and writing

Comprehensive insights into the process, IT and data landscape in the battery sector as well as further future-relevant domains Practical training in modern technologies and tools such as Collibra, Data Governance, AWS Services and more Freedom of design in the development of working methods and governance structures in the BI environment. Building a strong network within production & logistics, to other departments, with Scania and throughout the TRATON group Participation in future topics and development of skills that drive the digital transformation
