Team Leader Project Development Energy (m/f/d)

You run an interdisciplinary engineering team and are responsible for the holistic planning, implementation and commissioning of challenging new and modernization projects of heat generation plants. The focus is on energy systems for the district heating supply of the city of Leipzig, e.g. GuD and P2H systems, large heat pumps and heat storage systems. You assume the technical and disciplinary responsibility for your engineering team, consisting of process, machine, construction and electrical engineers as well as approval planners. You develop employees in a targeted manner and create clear structures and binding decision-making. You are responsible for the technical and commercial overall responsibility for appointments, budgets, quality and the implementation of the projects in line with the approval. You shall ensure all necessary permits and coordinate the coordination with authorities in the context of construction and operational permits. You ensure compliance with all relevant legal regulations and consistently implement regulatory changes in your projects. As a “Technical Leadership Projects” you are responsible for maintaining the operator requirements in the planning, construction and commissioning phase. With this you are responsible for the safe installation, integration, testing and acceptance until the documented transfer to the operating department. You ensure the selection, commissioning, coordination and monitoring of internal and external project participants (e.g. planning offices or construction companies). You tax the project portfolio strategically, prioritize resources, prepare decision-making bases for management and bodies and are entitled to consistently enforce security-relevant measures.

You have completed high-level or technical college training in mechanical engineering, process engineering, energy technology or a comparable engineering science discipline. You have many years of experience in plant or power plant construction with technical and commercial overall responsibility. You have experience in the project management, e.g. in the EPC or building role. You have a thorough understanding of thermal processes and district heating systems. You are sure to know yourself in licensing, contract, construction, energy and labour law as well as in relevant regulations (e.g. VOB, HOAI, occupational safety). You master common project management methods and control several projects in parallel in different implementation phases. You take leadership with clarity and sense of responsibility and meet well-founded decisions under complex conditions. You will inspire your team for common goals and combine strategic thinking with a strong level of implementation.
