Data Engineer KI (m/w/d)

The German Pension Insurance Schwaben (Public Law Agency based in Augsburg) is a regional institution of statutory pension insurance. We are looking for a Data Engineer (m/w/d) for Artificial Intelligence (AI/AI) for cooperation in the cross-subsidiary multi-project rvEvolution to use the potentials of cognitive systems for modernising the program system of German Pension Insurance (rvSystem).

Responsibility for data science applications Development of scalable and robust data pipelines to ensure data integrity and efficiency in the context of machine learning applications Implementation of medium and large language models in the data systems of German pension insurance Development of Python applications for data import, event triggering processes and optimization of ML Ops and DevOps processes Close cooperation with Product Owns and IT specialists to provide frictionless processes and reliable results

Graduate degree (FH, Bachelor) of the Department of Information Technology, Computer Science or in a comparable course of studies or a completed training as a specialist (m/w/d) or a comparable training. Knowledge to control highly complex and company-critical IT projects (Systems Engineering). Professional experience in compiling, gathering and providing data in optimized data architecture, ideally in the context of automated AI systems. Professional experience in dealing with relational database systems (e.g. Oracle), distributed data management systems (e.g. Hadoop), cloud platforms and container technologies (e.g. Kubernetes). Very good knowledge of common database languages (in particular SQL), APIs (in particular REST) and their connection to machine learning pipelines (in particular Python). Very good understanding of the efficient development, automation and maintenance of data flows as well as the creation and optimization of data architectures. First experiences in the integration of Large Language models and vector databases.
