Engpass management to advance the intergration of renewable energies into the national and European electricity networks. This makes the job interesting for me: In this position, I develop new concepts and tools for system management in the high-voltage network and contribute to their integration into the daily work of colleagues in the operational system management. In particular, my responsibility lies in the creation and implementation of concepts for flow-based capacity calculation and validation in the Core and Central Europe capacity calculation region. The capacity calculation is the central link between the physical transmission system operation and the electricity market. My innovative ideas are in demand to integrate a maximum of renewable energies safely into the network, drive the energy transition and maintain system security & cost efficiency. My working day: I support the development and implementation of national and European system management concepts, evaluate them from a perspective of 50Hertz and the Elia Group and introduce them into the operational system management as the head of an operationalization team. I represent 50Hertz on this subject in German and European bodies and, where appropriate, take over the leadership of project groups. Through my cooperation, we can strengthen national and international cooperation and contribute to improved integration of renewable energies into our electricity grid and thus realize the vision of 50Hertz “100 % to 2032”.

Master or Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering/Energy Engineering or Industrial Engineering with a corresponding focus, system understanding for electrical energy systems, knowledge of the internal electricity market and associated regulations and network codes at national and European level, Good knowledge of network calculation and simulation of power networks, deepened knowledge in a programming language (e.g. Matlab, Python, R), Knowledge of IT and software development is advantageous, Very good English language skills in word and writing (C1), Very good communication and conflict resolution competence, expressed team spirit, Solution-oriented thinking and action.
