Senior Physician (m/w/d) Internal Medicine with a focus on Intensive Care Medicine and Non-Invasive Cardiology

For our internal medicine with the focus on intensive medicine and non-invasive cardiology, we are looking for you in full or part time at the next time! The Sankt Elisabeth Hospital in Gütersloh is one of five hospitals of the Catholic Hospital Ostwestfalen gGmbH and the academic teaching hospital of the University of Münster. Each year, around 16,000 stationary and 27,000 ambu­lated patients and patients are supplied in the 14 specialist clinics and 16 specialist centres (e.g. age trauma center, breast center, colon cancer center, endoprosthetic center and stroke center). The entire hospital is certified annually in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 and has mapped its workflows exclusively patient-oriented. The Department of Internal Medicine has 124 beds and provides approximately 5,400 stationary patients each year. As chief physicians of the Centre for Internal Medicine, which is divided into the Department of Gastroenterology, General Internal Medicine, the Department of Pneumology, Cardiology, Internalist Intensive Medicine and the Department of Nephrology, the chief physicians together have the full training authorization for General Internal Medicine. Together, the emergency room and intensive care unit are supplied. In addition to the training authorization for the general internal medicine, there are full training authorizations for the respective disciplines and intensive medicine. The close cooperation with the other stationary and outpatient departments at the Sankt Elisabeth Hospital ensures comprehensive medical care. There is a 13-hour shift service in the clinics of internal medicine, as well as a further service for the intensive care unit in daily exchange with the anaesthetists. The assistants rotate during their training period through all clinics of internal medicine, including for the 6-month training in the intensive care unit. The evaluations within the PJ ranking reflect the good quality of training by way of example.

They are responsible for the treatment of patients in the field of cardiology, the Stroke Unit, the interdisciplinary central ambulance and in the interdisciplinary intensive care unit. Functional diagnosis in cardiology is also part of your tasks. They train our doctors in training as well as the PJ students. The active participation in the organization of the department as well as in the conceptual development completes your task.

You are a team player and have a successfully completed study in human medicine as a doctor (m/w/d) including an approbation as a doctor under EU law. In addition, you can demonstrate a completed specialist training in internal medicine and/or cardiology. They indicate the additional name of intensive medicine or show the willingness to acquire it with us. Ideally, you already have well-founded experience in non-invasive cardiological diagnosis (e.g. TEE, cardiac pacemaker implantation) and therapy. They are willing to take over leadership responsibility and are characterized by respectful and empathic treatment with patients. They have very good communication skills in word and writing as well as proof of the language level C1 in the German language. Openness, a high social competence as well as pleasure in interdisciplinary work distinguish you. You are able to look over the edge of the plate and have great interest in internal medicine as well as the development of your specialist area. You can also focus on the human being and identify yourself with our mission statement. They have basic IT skills in the common Microsoft Office programs.
