Information Security Officer (m/w/d) A location of GNS after tuning, preferably at the Essen site | unlimited | Full time The position is responsible for building, maintaining and developing the Information Security Management System (ISMS) as well as controlling all overarching security processes. The aim is to identify risks at an early stage, meet compliance requirements and to ensure the availability, integrity and confidentiality of the company's information permanently.

This includes: Structure, implementation and further development of the ISMS according to ISO 27001 and BSI basic protection Implementation of risk analyses, protection requirements and safety assessments Creation and maintenance of guidelines, standards and safety requirements Control of audits, certifications and compliance requirements (including GDPR, BetrVG) Planning and development of security awareness measures Monitoring the security situation and assessment of safety-related events Technical protection of the entire IT landscape against cyber threats Coordination of Incident Response Activities at Organisational Level Advising departments and projects on safety requirements Creation of regular management reports on information security situation Continuous improvement of security architecture and processes Close cooperation with IT, data protection, works council, external service providers and authorities

Complete study of (economic) informatics, IT security or a comparable qualification Multiannual professional experience in information security (at least 3 years) Practice in the construction or operation of an ISMS (ISO 27001 or BSI basic protection) Very good knowledge of ISO 27001/27002, basic BSI protection, GDPR and risk management Basic experience with security technologies, vulnerability management, IAM, monitoring Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer or BSI Basic Protection are desirable Structured, responsible, strong and solution-oriented working Impressed communication skills and competence to convey complex topics in a comprehensible way Very good English knowledge (at least B2 level) and fluent German knowledge in word and writing driving licence class B
