Principal Financial Services (m/f/d)

Financial Services: Basic conception and implementation of financial services as a profitable revenue stream in the retail context (first step: product insurance, POS credit, credit card, leasing offers), incl. integration into OBI Retail technology and market processes taking into account regulatory requirements and current legislation Program Management Office (PMO): Central control of the implementation plans (roadmap) and continuous monitoring of the Financial and Non-Financial KPIs for reporting to the Management/SteerCo. Responsibility for achieving strategic growth targets Strategic design and potential analysis: Responsible for the cross-substantial and commercial design of the Financial Service products (e.g. Loyalty link, branding, conditions) as well as for the execution of market analyses, deriving strategic guidelines and the business case calculation for analysis of the business potential

Interface Management and Stakeholder-Alignment: “Project” as a Responsibility Area for Financial Services at OBI and is therefore a central contact point (for OBI Management and External Partners) and moderator between the decentralized disciplines (which contribute to success but have their own objectives - resolution of strategic target conflicts) and external partners to ensure a joint alignment with the strategic EBT goal

Expert and decision-making authority: Brings up a lack of expert knowledge, both in the design of financial services products and the sales marketing in a trading company in which these products are not the focus of the sales teams Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure legal and regulatory compliance (e.g. KYC/GwG, BaFin) in cooperation with legal and management of partner selection processes to minimise reputation and credit risk

Financial Services Product know-how: Funded professional knowledge in the field of financial services (insurances, credits, credit cards, etc.), ideally also in terms of product offerings in retail

Sales expertise: deep experience in the distribution of financial services within a retail organization structure or comparable units

Leadership: High management quality and the ability to communicate safely with market leaders:inside and management

Working methods: balance between the enforcement of strict governance framework and a strongly driven implementation

Background: Ideally first contact points with the DIY industry or a deep understanding of the needs of this client:internal group
