Import & Export Manager (m/f/d)

On behalf of our client, HAPEKO, the personnel consulting for specialists and executives, is looking for an import & export manager (m/w/d) in permanent position.

Our client is a dynamically growing company in the aerospace and defence industry, headquartered in Munich and Europe-wide, and has established itself as a powerful player in its segment.

The environment is characterised internationally and requires consistent compliance with national and international customs and external economic and export control regulations, including dual-use regulations and other trade policy requirements. The role works closely with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering and Legal Department and also controls external partners such as forwarders, customs brokers and logistics service providers. In addition to operational management, a focus is on the establishment and maintenance of guidelines, controls and resilient documentation standards. Regular cross-site coordination and occasional international travel activities are part of everyday work.

Development, implementation and maintenance of import/export policies, processes and internal controls on customs, external trade and export control Control and monitoring of import and export processing including timing tracking, cost control and escalation management along the international supply chain Classification of goods and technical goods including maintenance of customs tariff numbers and export control classifications and commodity lists Coordination of customs clearance, preferential calculation, origin and value, duty optimization and use of appropriate customs procedures and programmes Creation, testing and approval of shipping and customs documents as well as control of screening processes and coordination with authorities, forwarders and 3PL service providers

Complete study in the field of law / logistics / engineering / foreign trade / or comparable At least 5 years of professional experience in import/export, customs, trade compliance or export control in an international environment Industry experience from aerospace, high-tech or defense / defense Very good knowledge of customs law, EU dual-use rules and the practical application of export controls and approval processes Evidence of experience in product classification, handling incoterms, rules of preference and origin, and in cooperation with customs brokers and forwarders Practice with trade- and customs-relevant IT systems and tools, ideally ATLAS as well as solutions such as SAP GTS, Descartes, MIC or comparable German and English knowledge, high integrity, structured working
