At Global Service and Parts (GSP), we accompany the entire life cycle of the Mercedes-Benz and smart vehicles, from the service-oriented design of our products to market launch and product support and probation. We support the service organisations worldwide, possibly also on site. We work with our partners from GSP, development, production, purchasing, legal and quality. We create operating instructions, write diagnostic procedures and are experts in parts technology, as well as in product evaluation and regulation. The GSP/TPR (product assessment and regulation) department is responsible, among other things, for the implementation of the decision-making processes for recalls and customer service measures at Mercedes-Benz Cars and for the coordination of the response of government requests to Mercedes-Benz cars. In this context, the team “Integrated Field Compliance & Technical Compliance Clearing” is responsible for preparing potential compliance or emission-relevant field topics, to make a decision in the relevant bodies and to inform authorities in Germany and abroad. These challenges include: Processing into the process and the accompanying JIRA-based IT system Conceptual development Development of a detailed and comprehensive concept for a chat board This concept is intended to describe the necessary functions and interactions precisely and serve as a basis for further development

Creation of requirements Formulation of clear and implementable requirements of the chat board These serve as a basis for development work and ensure that all aspects of the project are taken into account

Testing Extensive testing of the implemented functions in the STAGE and INT environment These tests are crucial to verify the quality and functionality of the chat tray and to prepare the release for the release Analysis and Conception User Interface (UI) Comprehensive analysis of an existing process step, including mathematical models, algorithms and Excel macro implementations Based on this, the conception of an optimized user interface for eliminating manual data transmission and for triggering Excel macro dependencies takes place

Technical specification and system integration: Creating a detailed technical specification for the direct integration of the process step into the JIRA IT system The development and implementation of this interface as well as the new user interface will then take place The activity can begin from May 2026.
