We are looking for Regulatory Knowledge Lawyer (with possibility of active integration into the mandate work) (m/w/d) to further strengthen our supervisory rights team at the Frankfurt location in the field of European banking and securities supervision law in full or part-time.

As a lawyer or lawyer in supervisory law, you are aware that the follow-up, but above all the analysis of the new legal developments in the field of financial supervision law, is the basis for successful advice within a market-leading unit. Knowledge Lawyer is an elementary part of this. In the course of this, we would like to further expand our knowledge-laying team in Germany. Its area of responsibility covers not only German but also European financial supervision. They are actively involved in the German supervisory practice of A&O Shearman. This requires a high level of networking both with the consultative lawyers and with the other know-how managers in Germany and the EU, as well as with the marketing and business development team. Depending on the preference, active cooperation in supervisory mandates is also possible. We are looking for authorised lawyers in the EU with a well-founded knowledge of banking supervisory law, who are interested in working independently at a high level, promoting themes and developing new ideas without their work being influenced by the sometimes time-critical mandate work. In detail, the following is expected in the position: Further establishment and development of Regulatory Know-how Management within German and European practice Identification of Strategic Trends in Financial Supervision Law Creation of client presentations on new regulatory initiatives and developments Participation in conferences and the corresponding presentation of the firm to the outside Advising regulated companies in the financial sector, if desired The site is characterized by a high degree of flexible work design and the possibility of working independently. In addition, an active involvement in the team will take place on site and a close exchange with our global network of Regulatory Know-how Lawyers.

Qualification as a European-approved lawyer At least three years of professional experience in the field of financial supervision (ideal in an international law firm, a financial institution or association)
