Safe food - Protection from contagious diseases - Healthy livestock The Landesprüfungsamt (LUA) is the central state service provider in the consumer and health protection of humans and animals in Rheinland-Pfalz. Together with our around 500 employees, we work at five locations in Koblenz, Landau, Mainz, Speyer and Trier on the nationwide monitoring and investigation of food, supplies, medicines and cosmetics, diagnostics and control of animal diseases and the protection of humans from contagious diseases. We are looking for the next time, limited to 31.12.2027, a veterinarian (m/w/d) to grade A 14 LBesG or comparable grouping up to E 14 TV-L in Unit 23 on animal health control and animal welfare in full-time (100%) at the Department of Supervision and Veterinary Affairs at Koblenz. Technical supervision and technical support of secondary administrative authorities in the field of animal health control and animal by-products Planning, coordination and monitoring of animal health control measures and national risk-oriented programmes Organisation, participation and implementation of service meetings and training events Technical opinions on legislative proposals Designing the quality management system Processing and application of specialist databases (e.g. HI-Tier, TSN, Balvi), production of evaluations, expert opinions and reports

Successfully completed studies of veterinary medicine with approval Examination for veterinary services is desired Experience in the field of public veterinary matters is desirable Knowledge of European and national animal health law and TNP including case law are desirable Experience in monitoring operations is advantageous High level of responsibility, organisational skills, resilience as well as social competence and team capacity readiness to travel and flexible work, even outside the usual hours of service Good knowledge of MS Office's IT standard applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as relevant databases (e.g. HI-Tier, TSN, Balvi) Class B driving licence and readiness to operate a service vehicle
