EPLAN Design Engineer for Switchgear in Energy Technology at FEAG (m/f/d)

What you do professionally You construct safety-critical switching systems in the future energy transition market and ensure that technical decisions are standard-proof, manufacturing-friendly and economically viable. You'll start current schedules, production documents and parts lists in EPLAN. You design and realize switching systems according to IEC/VDE standards and network operator TAB. You clarify technical questions with customers, suppliers, manufacturing and project environment. You drive technical work packages independently and actively demand missing documents. You support heat balances, short-circuit and network calculations as complementary engineering tasks. You prepare type checks before and after or accompany complex decreases as required. Where you make decisions Technical Ownership: You are responsible for engineering work packages without having to take over the overall project management. Technical approval: You check and evaluate current schedules as well as the component selection within a defined framework. Design-to-Cost: You take into account quality, efficiency, cost and manufacturing ease in design. Further development: You bring improvements for modular systems, product logic and production-oriented solutions. Interface clarification: You actively go to project management, manufacturing, suppliers and customer page if documents or decisions are missing.

Required: Secure EPLAN application for current schedules, production documents and piece lists. IEC/VDE standard understanding for standard-safe construction in regulated switching system construction. Founded low-voltage knowledge as a basis for safe design and standard decisions. Basic electrical engineering qualification, e.g. studies of electrical engineering, technicians or masters. At least 2 years of E construction in switching system construction or in industrial switching systems with low voltage reference. German at least on good B2 level for manufacturing, documentation and technical clarifications. Proactive clarification strength, detailed orientation and quality awareness for safety-critical electrical products. Advantage: Medium-voltage experience in switching systems construction. Protective technology know-how for demanding engineering questions. Experience with net calculations, heat simulations or heat balances. Experience with type tests, complex decreases or renewable energies. English knowledge of basic technical communication as required.

Framework conditions: Compensation model: Collective employment by household contract with possible Christmas and holiday allowance or AT model with 12 monthly salaries. Bonus: Additional benefits depend on the contract model. Variable bonus is possible. Team: You work in an engineering team with currently 14 people at the St. Ingbert site at Saarbrücken. The culture is open, loose and independent. Guided tour here means setting, not micromanagement.
