Ammerland-Klinik GmbH, Akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus der Medizine Hochschule Hannover, is a modern centre hospital in municipal administration. In a unique concept in Germany, Ammerland-Klinik together with the Bundeswehrkrankenhaus Westerstede forms the Klinikzentrum Westerstede. Around 2,000 employees are involved here for the people from the region and far beyond the borders of the county. The Ammerland-Klinik's interdisciplinary short-range suspension station was opened on April 1, 2025 and has a capacity of 15 – 18 beds. The nursing team currently treats interdisciplinary patients* of various specialist departments (including general and visceral surgery, vascular surgery, gynecology, senology), which are planned and remain in the hospital for a short time. The treatment is exclusively from Monday to Friday.
