The clinic for Geriatrie in the Kiel Municipal Hospital currently consists of 127 stationary beds and 22 day Clinical places. In addition to the normal stations with up to 30 beds per station, there is a specially designed area for 12 patients with dementia or other cognitive restriction. In addition, in cooperation with trauma surgery and orthopaedics, there is a so-called age traumatological station with up to 10 beds for patients after an accident event.
