As a patent specialist (m/w/d), you are part of the Optima Group. Whether Finance, IT, Legal, Marketing or Personnel - we act together as a headquarters for our four business units and actively shape the strategic and operational orientation of the group of companies.

As a patent specialist (m/w/d), we advise and support our specialist departments in development projects in patent-relevant topics and ensure that innovations are optimally protected. You take over innovation monitoring, including patent monitoring, analysis and evaluation of external patents and knowledge transfer to development. In addition, keep an eye on our own development activities and evaluate them. Patent research and analysis such as state-of-the-art, invalidity and freedom-to-operate research are carried out independently, commented and transferred to concrete action alternatives. You cooperate in identifying protective developments and evaluating invention messages. In the team of internal and external patent attorneys, you conduct patent applications in the filing and examination procedure as well as disputed procedures. You develop and organize patent information, conduct statistical evaluations and derive concrete recommendations for action that you use in the internal IP consultation of the business units. In addition, you can contribute to the creation of IP-relevant contracts, such as licensing or development contracts with national and international partners, and accompany due diligence checks on protection risks under M&A transactions.

You have a successfully completed technical study (e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics or process engineering) as well as professional experience within industrial patent departments or patent attorney law firms. You will preferably bring an additional qualification as a patent attorney (m/w/d), patent engineer (m/w/d), patent consultant (m/w/d) or patent researcher (m/w/d). You address legal questions in a structured manner and convince with your organizational talent, your creative approaches and your solution competence. You are inspiring for technical solutions. Your analytical approach and stamina, for example, in research, are your strengths. With your knowledge of German and English, you are well prepared for interdisciplinary and international cooperation.
