About us We are looking for a security engineer (m/w/d) at the next possible time to support our central occupational safety department in Mainz. Your duties Advising executives and employees on all issues relating to the safety design of workplaces, workflows and the use of work equipment and hazardous materials Implementation of all tasks of a specialist for occupational safety according to § 6 ASiG Assessment of safety-relevant legislation regarding its application in order to design and implement efficient, law-compliant processes Information on identified deficiencies or risks of accidents and deriving appropriate measures to eliminate and continuously improve occupational safety Participation in the creation, establishment and continuous development of valid standards within the internal management system “Coachen” of executives, moderating programs to improve the safety culture and imparting your knowledge within the framework of internal training Participation in work protection-relevant bodies (e.g. authorities, ASA, works council) Project work in the field of occupational safety Introduction, implementation and support of individual modules in the comprehensive occupational safety management software (Quentic) Support for new and remodeling projects to comply with occupational safety regulations Implementation of internal audits and missions Your profile Successfully completed (master) degree in engineering, security technology or natural sciences, or comparable qualification Recognised training as a safety engineer as well as knowledge of occupational safety laws Multiannual experience in the field of occupational and health protection, ideally in the manufacturing industry, as well as experienced project experience with structured and solution-oriented methods Further qualifications, e.g. SiGeKo, coordinator for work in contaminated areas, laser or Noise technology, hazardous material management, ex-protection or ergonomics desirable Consultancy and responsibility High level of team, communication and moderation capability Safe occurrence, enforcement and self-initiative Very good DV user knowledge with the usual IT tools (MS OFFICE, teams etc.), ideally experience with the software Quentic Training as an internal auditor according to ISO 45001 of advantage, otherwise the willingness to qualify for this Very good knowledge of German and English Your Benefit As open as SCHOTT is for your further development, our offer of additional benefits is as extensive.
