Product development within the Business Unit Optical Systems in Braunschweig is driving innovations from camera-based 3D measurement systems. As a driver in developing camera-based 3D measurement systems, you are responsible for:

Development and optimization of optical 3D measurement systems based on the camera from the design to the standard maturity

Construction, commissioning and functional testing of prototypes

Planning, implementation and evaluation of test series for evaluation of functionality, measurement accuracy, long-term stability and reliability

Organisation and implementation of application tests under real conditions

Development, implementation and verification of new measurement methods and algorithms

Implementation of software tests for quality assurance of new functions and releases

Design, specification and evaluation of optical components and technical coordination with suppliers

Development and optimization of calibration methods, calibration algorithms and calibration objects

Analysis and systematic troubleshooting of individual components and complex measurement systems

Market and competition analyses to derive technical requirements and co-design product strategies

Close cooperation with interdisciplinary teams in the design and design of new device generations

Complete university studies (diploma, master or similar) in physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, surveying technology or a related engineering or scientific field

Funded knowledge in measurement technology, ideally focusing on optical or camera-based systems

Experience in construction, commissioning and testing of technical prototypes

Knowledge of the development and analysis of technical algorithms and measurement methods

Confidence with modern testing and validation methods and statistical evaluation of measurement results

Programming skills (e.g. in Python or MATLAB) to support algorithm development and test automation

Experience in the use of methods of artificial intelligence in the technical context is desirable

Expressed analytical and systematic working methods and a high degree of self-initiative

Team skills, communication strength and joy in interdisciplinary cooperation

Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
