Head (Level 4) Team ''Portals'' in ''Overarching Services'' in the GB ''Backward Processes'' (m/w/d)

After taking the first steps towards the reorientation of EDEKA IT in April 2024, we are now facing the next major task: the creation of an efficient and sustainable organisational structure that helps us to master the challenges of the coming years in a hard-to-cold market.

In your role at the Hamburg location, you can make your personal contribution to our goals.

Your tasks

As a leader in the Team Portale, you take over the disciplinary and professional leadership of a team of currently 13 dedicated developers: both at Hamburg, Gaimersheim and Cluj (Romania).

You are responsible for the following key products and services with your team:

Partner portal

The central communication platform for suppliers and EDEKA. It offers services to improve cooperation and enhances value creation for EH, GH, EZ and suppliers.

EDI Portal

Central portal for the eruption and error processing of the EDI process (not EDI itself), which is used by the EDI team of the EDEKA headquarters, regional staff and EDI suppliers.

EDEKA Self Service Portal

Our internal portal application for personal and employee services such as multi-work applications, authorization assignment, contract control etc.

SAP BODS

SAP BusinessObjects DataServices collects data from various sources and prepares it for further use. Customers of the data include various customers of the EDEKA network such as the EDEKA headquarters, EDEKA regions or the portal applications from this team.

Note: The end-of-life (EOL) for SAP BODS is announced. A core task is therefore the planning and monitoring of migration to new technologies.

Disciplinary and organizational leadership

• You are the direct contact person and coach for your team, promoting their professional and personal development and enabling independent action.
• You are responsible for the efficient organization, deployment planning and information flow within the team and across the different locations.
• You create a motivating and productive work frame.
• The planning and development of personnel needs (internal and external) as well as budget planning and controlling also fall within your responsibility.

Guided tour

• Together with the team and your leadership, you will develop clear targets for the services and products that are responsible. You can map them to the strategic goals of EDEKA IT.
• You proactively advance the technical and professional development of our portal landscape and guide concrete implementation steps and projects.
• You strengthen your team in the professional management of their tasks and enable them to develop innovative solutions.
• The proactive development and maintenance of cooperation with our customers are of course for you.

• Your communication is concise and targeted so that the exchange of information in the team and with partners works smoothly.
• You identify the core needs of our customers as well as partners and can clearly convey complex facts.
• You bring the willingness to work on new topics, technologies and processes independently and continuously.
• You have fluent German skills and at least basic English skills for communication in the international team.
