The battery development center is responsible for the development of high-voltage batteries within Mercedes-Benz AG. In the Department of Cell Technology and Concepts we develop and qualify the battery cells of the next generation. In the cell technology at the E-Campus, new cell concepts are built up, validated and tested under standard conditions. We are building the bridge between research, development and industrialisation. Our goal is to increase the maturity of future battery cells at an early stage, secure production processes and prepare innovative production technologies for later use in series production. For this exciting task we are looking for you as an intern* in battery cell development. Your tasks in detail: Support for project management in development and industrialization projects in the cell engineering industry Independent processing and coordination of work packages within ongoing projects Planning, implementation and evaluation of test series in laboratory and technical environments Support in the further development and optimization of production and assembly processes for battery cells Analysis of technical data and participation in product and process optimization Close cooperation with the fields of development, production and experiment What you expect: Insights into the development and industrialization of next-generation battery cells Working with innovative technologies in the future field of electromobility Own responsible takeover of demanding tasks and projects Cooperation in an interdisciplinary environment from research, development and production Possibility to gain practical experience in a modern cell technology The activity can begin from March 2027.

Your qualifications: Studies in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering or a comparable technical course Technical vocational training of advantage Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Safe handling of MS Office Basic CAD knowledge Embossed technical understanding and interest in battery technologies and manufacturing processes First knowledge of project management or project organization desirable Self-employed, structured and careful working High commitment and communication and team skills Please note that your internship at this site must have a prescribed mandatory share.
