One of the most important factors contributing to this leadership is the agile vehicle software development in the heart of the new Mercedes-Benz operating system: MB.OS. Our department is responsible for the software development of the Zone Controller Platform (complex ECUs with power distribution, I/O management, gateway functionality, applications for vehicle and comfort functions etc.) for our future MB.OS vehicle architectures. To support our software architects in modeling and analysis, we are looking for a dedicated working student. Tasks: Examination of UML-based software architecture: You check our UML-based software architecture models in IBM Rhapsody for formal correctness and ideally support us in content validation

Model extension: You expand the model to query and generate views to optimize data processing and gain meaningful insights

Model analyses and evaluations: You will start detailed model analyses and evaluations, in particular with regard to the aspects to ensure an ISO26262-compliant software design

The activity can begin from September 2026.

Studies in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable degree course

Very good knowledge of German in word and writing (at least C2 level)

Good knowledge of English for communication with international employees

Knowledge in UML and ideally experience with IBM Rhapsody

Interest in formal methods and software architecture

enthusiasm for the automotive industry and safety-critical systems

Intercultural competence and joy in dealing with people from different cultures

Self-employed, structured and creative work
