W2 Professorship in Law with a Focus on Social Law (m/f/d)

The Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) is one of the largest practice-oriented universities in Bavaria and covers a wide range of subjects with the fields of technology, social and economic sciences, design and languages. We accompany around 9,300 students in more than 70 courses on their educational path. What awaits you and where are you active? As a future professor or future professor, you represent your area of law with the focus on social law and take over the associated tasks in teaching, applied research and academic self-governing. In teaching, you impart scientifically sound and practical the foundations and applications of social law. You represent your subject in particular in the fields of participation law (SGB IX) and right of existence (SGB II, III, XII). It is also desirable to focus on (social) administrative law and labour law with social law references. Particular emphasis is placed on setting the foundations for specific fields of application. In addition to conducting lectures and seminars, you also support students in implementing projects with strong reference to social law practice. You lead students to scientific work and supervise thesis. Together with colleagues, your expertise helps you to shape our study offer forward-looking and attractive. In applied research, you are committed to social issues that relate to social challenges. You help us further develop our national and international networks with practical partners, research institutions and academic institutions. In addition, you take responsibility in academic self-governing.

What are you doing? We are looking for a personality who has profound professional knowledge and practical experience in social law, in particular in the areas of participation law (SGB IX) and right of existence (SGB II, III,XII) and a successful conclusion of the 1st. Legal state exam has. It is also desirable to focus on the (social) administrative law and labour law with social law references as well as a successful conclusion of the 2nd Legal State Exam.
