Cloud DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

We are the product group Marketing Data Platform of EDEKA IT and responsible for the data processing of the EDEKA network. In the product group, the master data and customer data of the EDEKA composite are processed and structured to provide them to our specialist areas. As a Cloud DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) for the EDEKA Marketing Data Platform, you play a central role in developing our data products. You are responsible for the continuous development and operation of the infrastructure. In addition, by means of targeted quality assurance, you make sure that we can ensure a low-impact operation. Your contribution is crucial to ensure that the EDEKA is available on time and reliably. You will take care of the architecture, design, implementation and operation of Azure infrastructures (Databricks, Functions, Storage, Event Grid, Key Vaults, Automation) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). For the setup and maintenance of DevOps pipelines with GitHub Actions incl. Container Buildings (Docker). You develop interfaces to cloud and on-prem systems (network, authentication, technology selection). You manage Entra ID objects (e.g. groups, app registrations, secret rotation). You are responsible for the ability of our developers to use standardized IaC templates. You enter our product-lifecycles including automated data storage, deployment and adaptation. You support the development and implementation of concepts for fail-safety and recovery. You take care of setup, operation and consulting in Azure, Databricks and Data Monitoring (including Datadog). You secure the permanent know-how transfer within the team and across team boundaries. You provide consulting services in the Databricks environment and cost optimization in the infrastructure.

You have successfully completed your studies or training with IT cover or have an equivalent qualification. You have deep knowledge in Azure infrastructure, especially: VNETs, Private Endpoints, Network Security Groups, DNS Zones Databricks, Eventhub, Storage, Key Vaults, Managed Identities

You bring experience in network configuration, security & authentication (including Entra ID). You know very well with Logging & Monitoring in the Azure environment as well as the external tools (e.g. Datadog) used for it. You have productive experience with ''Infrastructure as Code'' via Terraform (also across team and project via Templating/Abstractionslayer) as well as the following tools: Git/GitHub, Azure CLI, Databricks CLI, Powershell, Docker, Python. You have a strong analytical mindset as well as the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and disassemble them into clear, feasible steps. You are able to communicate effectively and appreciate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at different levels to clarify requirements and present solutions. You have experience with agile methods and frameworks (e.g. Scrum) and their application in the technical environment. You have fluent German language skills in word and writing (CEFR level C1 or higher).
