Principle investigation & analysis: You carry out a detailed research into the prior art in the field of optical crack detection. Here you analyze the specific framework conditions in the press (e.g. light conditions, cycle times, surface condition) and identify suitable test methods. Conception & Prototyping: Based on your analysis, you develop a technical concept for a camera-based testing system. This includes the selection of suitable hardware (cameras, lighting) and the evaluation of software algorithms for image evaluation. If possible, you will accompany the implementation in an experimental setup. Interdisciplinary cooperation: You act as a link between various specialist departments. You agree with production, quality assurance and IT requirements to ensure a practical integration of the new technology.

Academic background: You are currently studying electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science or a related field and are close to your degree. Technical knowledge: You have a well-founded knowledge of electrical engineering and optoelectronics, which you have ideally applied in study projects or internships. Additional qualifications: Basic knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) or computer-assisted image processing are advantageous and help you with algorithmic concept development.
