Our scientists develop novel methods and strategies to combat infectious diseases faster and more effectively. Our common goal are novel approaches to the prevention, diagnosis and therapy of infectious diseases. Our research focuses on bacterial and viral pathogens, their interplay with the immune system of humans and new active ingredients and vaccines. Purchasing the HZI is bound as a contracting authority to the procurement law and is responsible for the legally secure procurement of a wide range – from consumables to services to construction services. The overall responsibility lies with the purchasing management; Purchasing is organised in four teams with respective team lines responsible for different procurement areas. The implementation of construction measures is a complex overall process of our organization, so the tasks are carried out in close cooperation with internal and external interfaces.

Implementation and complete processing of complex procurement procedures in the field of construction and planning services in accordance with applicable procurement law - in particular the procurement supervision (planning, preparation, implementation, evaluation, processing) of national and EU-wide procurement procedures Conception and consulting of the areas of expertise in pending tender procedures and the first point of contact for procurement issues related to the construction measures to be carried out Examination and design of procurement and contract documents for individual and framework contracts incl. the commercial mapping of procurement processes in SAP

Completed business management Bachelor's degree in commercial or commercial training with equivalent skills and experience Multiannual experience in the procurement and award of construction and planning services Comprehensive knowledge of the legal framework of procurement law (including VOB/A, UVgO, VgV, GWB, HOAI) and contract law Good consulting skills and a strong communication and team skills Structured organisational and planning capability with a targeted, solution-oriented and independent working method – even in stressful situations Advanced application knowledge in the information technology of specialist applications, in particular with electronic procurement platforms, SAP (module MM) and office applications Basic English language skills are desirable in an international research environment ( oral and written)
