The Distel Kiel belongs to the Kinderheim Erwin Steffen, a private carrier of stationary children – and youth assistance. According to our motto: “Living with the children” we offer our girls and boys a home on time.

You accompany children and adolescents during excursions and holiday trips, support them with homework and school requirements, giving them valuable learning moments In your role, you plan and perform various leisure activities, whether in exciting campfires or creative games, and accompany the children in their leisure activities and appointments, such as sports or doctor visits Cook and bake together with the children, especially on weekends, which creates a beautiful community experience for everyone You support the children in structuring their everyday life and take organizational tasks while you contribute to planning and problem solving in the 'children'' At team meetings, you actively participate and conduct valuable parental talks, also documenting the development processes of the children and carefully conducting parental work

You bring a completed training as a state-recognized educator or a completed study of social education (alternative: Diplom-Pädagog*in) and have advanced knowledge in education Your empathy in dealing with children and your joy in working with them make you especially suitable for this position Responsibility and team skills are yours and are self-evident You are flexible and have a strong communication skills that will benefit you in your working day You show willingness to continue your education
