Value Engineer (m/w/d)

Your role: In the role as a value engineer, the focus is on the global control and implementation of value engineering initiatives to achieve the annual cost targets in the field of aftermarket. You are responsible for the entire value engineering process - from the identification and evaluation of savings potentials to the moderation of cross-functional VA/VE workshops to the implementation and global anchoring of best practices. Your challenge: Conducting complex, strategic cost-cutting initiatives focusing on quality, timeliness and cost-effectiveness Organisation and moderation of cross-functional workshops and development of technical concepts and implementation of product cost analyses Coordination of feasibility and risk analyses in accordance with the technical change process (TCM) Documentation and global distribution of validated cost reduction solutions via the Lessons-Learned and Best-Practice database Participation in the development of digital dashboards and tools for the automation of KPI tracking, ideas management and governance Control of all required internal and external releases (e.g. budget releases, design data, customer permits) across all locations Creation and presentation of status reports, realized savings and predicted benefits for control bodies, change committees as well as internal stakeholders and management

Your profile: Education: Successfully completed studies in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or production engineering Professional experience: 3-5 years relevant professional experience in the job profile as well as in the automotive or automotive supply industry, ideally in the fields of value analysis, cost Reduction Engineering or Project Management Expertise: Detectional experience in project management, in particular in the management of virtual, cross-functional and international teams in complex, multi-site projects Funded technical and engineering expertise focusing on product development processes and product-specific know-how Deep understanding of the entire value chain - from research & development to production to delivery - including cost structures, cost modelling and analysis of savings potential Experience in dealing with diverse stakeholder interests and in the solution-oriented control of cost reduction projects

Language knowledge: flowing English skills, German knowledge desirable Personality: Agiles and solution-oriented mindset with experience in the iterative control of planning, implementation and review processes High digital affinity and analysis of data-based decision bases Strong communication capability with a clear focus on precise reporting and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders Ready for business trips
