The Innovation Agency is a key driver, matchmaker and maker in the Rheinland-Pfalz innovation ecosystem. full time. The Innovation Agency Rheinland-Pfalz connects business, science, start-ups and politics and implements central innovation policy projects of the country in an operational manner.

As Head of Innovation & Technology, you take responsibility for the strategic and professional management of key innovation and future topics of the Innovation Agency. You lead the innovation-related teams and programs, develop existing activities strategically and identify new areas of action for the further development of the innovation location. You work closely with business, science, start-ups, investors, ministries and other stakeholders of the innovation ecosystem. As a member of the leadership level, you actively contribute to the further development of the Innovation Agency.

Strategic overall responsibility for innovation, technology, technology transfer, start-ups and innovation financing, including professional and personnel management of the associated teams further development of the innovation, technology, transfer and financing portfolio of the Rheinland-Pfalz Innovation Agency as well as control of the associated programs, projects, orders and services Identification, analysis and evaluation of technological, economic, innovation and social developments and deriving strategic recommendations for action Initiation, development and management of strategic projects and future topics in the areas of innovation, technology transfer, start-up ecosystem, innovation financing and transformation Leadership of cross-departmental projects and coordination of key innovation activities together with partners from business, science, politics, administration, funding institutions and innovation ecosystem Building, nursing and strategic development of high-level stakeholder relations at national, federal and European level Participation in strategic business development

Successfully completed academic studies at master, diploma or comparable level, preferably in the field of economic, engineering, natural, political, administrative or social sciences or in a comparable course of study Multiannual professional and leadership experience in innovation, technology, economic, transfer or structural policy areas Proven experience in the management and development of teams, organisational units and in the development, control and further development of complex programs, projects, portfolios or strategic projects Knowledge of the innovation, technology, transfer, start-up and financing ecosystem at national, federal and European level Designed strategic, analytical and conceptual skills and a very good understanding of technological, economic and innovation-political transformation processes Leadership with high decision-making, communication and representation skills as well as experience in cooperation with high-level actors from politics, business, science, administration, funding institutions and networks Stress resistance and time flexibility as well as above-average performance, motivation and initiative English language skills
