Our team “Data & AI Lab After-Sales” is responsible for Data, Advanced Analytics and AI Theme nim After-Sales and includes the roles of the Data Architect and the AI Architect. What is it about? Data and artificial intelligence (AI) have the highest strategic priority at Mercedes-Benz to be well prepared for tomorrow's challenges. Together with us, shape the future of the after-sales business by unraveling and implementing innovative AI and data solutions with real business added value. Your tasks: You work with experienced Data & AI architects and support strategic architecture initiatives in a global business environment: support for architectural discussions, workshops and decision-making processes Creation of presentation-ready documents and architectural artifacts for stakeholders Working with Data & AI Governance and Architecture Initiatives Cooperation with engineering, business and data teams across different business areas

You take responsibility for an independent project focusing on architecture and implementation. The topic is defined during the application process or at the beginning of the internship, for example: Automation of Knowledge Bases using LLM-based approaches Automation in metadata management and data governance AI-based automation of Alerting processes in portfolio management

The activity can begin from September 2026.

Your profile: Studies in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Data Science or AI/Machine Learning, ideally focusing on Machine Learning/KI or Data Engineering Very good Python knowledge Experience with Git/GitHub Practical experience with AI technologies and Large Language Models (e.g. via APIs, LangChain or A.) is advantageous Experience with Databricks is desirable, but no requirement architectural or implementation experience from studies, open source projects or private projects is sufficient; Professional experience not provided Interest in Responsible AI, governance issues and new AI regulations (e.g. EU AI Act) Impressed communication skills, independent working and curiosity on new topics Very good knowledge of English - German knowledge is advantageous
