Development Engineer Industrial Engineering (m/f/d)

As a development engineer Industrial Engineering (w/m/d), you can design the path of innovative products from development to series production. In close cooperation with development, production, quality and purchasing, you create the conditions for economical, robust and efficient production and contribute to the successful implementation of new developments in the series through the production-oriented design of product and process concepts. You take over the industrialization of new products and accompany their development from the concept phase to the successful series start. As a central interface between development, production, quality and purchasing, you will ensure the production-oriented implementation of new product concepts. You bring manufacturing requirements into the product development process at an early stage and ensure the economical production of new products through consistent design for manufacturing. Together with the development, you can optimize products with regard to assembly-friendliness, variant control and process safety according to the principles of the Design for Assembly. You develop and implement manufacturing, assembly and testing concepts for new products and product generations. Together with the experts from the production plan, coordinate and accompany production processes, ensure the successful transfer of new products to series production. You specify and implement equipment, devices and manufacturing equipment for new and existing production processes. As a project manager or subproject manager, you control cross-departmental industrialization and optimization projects.

You have completed your studies in the field of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, production technology or a comparable field of expertise. You have relevant professional experience in industrial engineering, production planning or industrialization of products, ideally in machine or plant engineering. You bring experience in cooperation with development teams as well as a good understanding of product development processes. Your knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DfM), Design for Assembly (DfA) as well as in modern methods of process and production optimization and operational excellence. You have experience with lean management, value flow design and continuous improvement processes. The secure handling of ERP systems, ideally SAP is self-evident for you. Your strong analytical thinking skills as well as your structured and solution-oriented way of working speaks for you. You are characterized by high levels of communication and enforcement and work with joy in interdisciplinary teams. You have good knowledge of German and English. You bring a readiness to travel for regular visits to our production sites and occasional international service trips.
