The Elisabeth Hospital Essen, as an academic teaching hospital with 531 beds in 13 specialist departments, ensures local basic and regular care and also performs tasks of maximum care in the main areas of heart and vessels, woman and child, diabetes and kidney, as well as diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Every year, nearly 30,000 patients are treated inpatient and outpatient.

Assistenarzt Vascular Surgery (m/w/d)

Our Clinic for Vascular Surgery and Phlebology includes 50 beds and offers a wide range of further education with approx. 2.000 surgical interventions and over 600 percutaneous interventions and about 150 aortic interventions (100 abdominal aortic aneurysms: assignment according to the decision of the district government Düsseldorf 12/24). In addition to carotid surgery (130 assignments), a special focus is also on peripheral and pedal bypass surgery (270 assignments) and access surgery for dialysis.

The clinic is an interdisciplinary vascular centre in recertification, certified by the German Society for Vascular Surgery and Vascular Medicine (DGG), the German Society for Angiology (DGA) and the German X-ray Society (DRG). In addition, the Klinik Venen Kompetenzzentrum der Deutschen Gesellschaft fÃ1⁄4r Phlebologie (DGP) and German Aortenzentrum. Participation in national and international studies (POPART, ENCHANT, AMADEUS, ADVANCE, etc.). The high performance of vascular surgery was fully confirmed by the current hospital planning NRW.

Your tasks

• Assistance and implementation of operations according to the defined training curriculum
• Pre- and post-processing of operations
• Participation in the clinic's standby service
• Learn the diagnostics of arterial and venous vascular diseases in their own ambulance, including modern methods such as Doppler, Duplex, KM-Sono, O2C, tcpO2 and VVI
