Implementation, operation and administration of company-wide backup, virtualization and storage infrastructure with a focus on backup Responsible for capacity and performance management within the supervised infrastructure environments Creation, maintenance and further development of operating concepts Analysis of existing processes and systems and identification of optimization and improvement potentials Examination and development of the architecture of existing infrastructure environments Standardization and automation of technical and operational processes Creation, updating and quality assurance of technical documentation cooperation in project-specific tasks and Support in implementing technical IT projects

Completed studies of business information technology, completed vocational training in the field of information technology or comparable qualification through multiannual activities in IT Multiannual professional practice as well as profound expertise in the field of backup Very good knowledge in the operation of modern backup infrastructures, preferably with Veeam, in particular Veeam Data Platform and Veeam Data Cloud Ideally practical experience in storage, especially with NetApp, as well as virtualization, especially with VMware vSphere and VCF Experience in creating and maintaining backup policies, storage policies and data lifecycle concepts Practice in the design and implementation of business continuity and restoration concepts Considering defined RPO/RTO requirements Planning, implementation and documentation of regular restore tests and validation of the recovery of business-critical data and systems Knowledge of backup infrastructures against cyber threats, in particular through immutable backups, air gap/offline concepts and ransomware resilience Know-how in the automation and orchestration of backup processes, such as PowerShell, Ansible or REST/API Safe handling of backup job monitoring, troubleshooting and performance tuning in complex IT infrastructures Confidence with relevant IT security requirements, e.g. encryption, roll-based access controls, compliance and data protection Very good understanding as well as a structured, analytical and solution-oriented operation Impressed team skills and the ability and willingness to share knowledge and mentoring junior colleagues Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
