Dental assistant in orthodontic practice

The dental specialist (ZFA) plays an essential role in our practice for orthodontics and supports the practice team in all clinical and administrative tasks. The ZFA is responsible for the care of the patients during their stay in practice, assistance in dental treatments, as well as independent work on the chair and ensuring a smooth process in the treatment room.

Your tasks

• Assistance of the dentist / dentist in dental examinations and treatments
• Pre- and post-processing of the treatment room, including sterilization of instruments and preparation of materials
• Execution of X-ray images and production of impressions/scans according to the dentist's instructions
• Preparatory measures for attaching attachments/brackets and sheets
• Advice and care of patients with oral hygiene and care
• Documentation of treatments carried out
• Cleaning and disinfection of treatment rooms and instruments according to the applicable hygiene guidelines.
• Supporting the practical team in administrative tasks, including appointment arrangements and planning of treatments

Your profile

• Completed training for dental professionals (ZFA) or comparable qualification
• experience in assistance in dental or orthodontic treatments
• knowledge of the handling of dental and orthodontic instruments and equipment
• Friendly and sensitive occurrence in dealing with patients
• Teamability and good communication skills
• organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Compliance with hygiene and safety standards
