More and more people use the bike as an attractive means of transport for their way to work or leisure. The Land of Hessen therefore consistently implements the local mobility strategy for Hessen under the Hessian local mobility law. Among other things, the already existing out-of-the-counter cycle path network is to be expanded along federal, state and circular roads and geared to the wheel path concepts of municipalities and counties. Preparatory examination of the need and urgency of road transport systems to federal and state roads You are responsible for the conceptual care and further development of the Hessen wheel main network as well as the representation of Hessen Mobil as a specialist support for the creation of regional cycling concepts In addition, you will work to develop standards for reducing conflict situations with other transport participants. Its responsibility includes the internal technical advice of the regional departments Planning and Construction (PB) or Operation and transport (BV) as part of the planning and operation of bicycle transport systems You represent the interests of Hessen Mobil as a construction load carrier for cycling routes to federal and state roads towards municipalities, circles and interest groups in close coordination with regional departments PB and BV You will also represent Hessen Mobil and the internal coordination of specialist issues in priority inter-communal and regional cycling projects, in particular in the case of rapid cycling You examine and prepare the response of public enquiries (regional actors, citizens, press etc.) to cycling issues Your responsibilities also include the technical support of the planning and maintenance of trailing cycling signs in close coordination with local actors

You have a completed university degree (FH Diploma / Bachelor) preferably from the fields of civil engineering, transport, spatial planning, geography, environmental sciences or a comparable qualification Your knowledge of the design principles of transport systems (including cycling facilities) as well as your authentic understanding of the practical participation of cyclists Ideally, you have relevant practical experience in transport or transport.
